On May 22nd Y&M turned 2! We have survived another year of being the parents of a singleton and twins and all 5 of us are here to tell the tale. And some of them are even good. Seriously, it is really amazing to think that they are 2! Time has flown, it has dragged, they have drugg me........This weekend someone informed me that now that they are 2 they now have a yetzer hara or evil inclination. I guess that is where we get the term "terrible two's" from. I think I can believe this, although truthfully I have not noticed a huge a difference in behavior. I think they started being independant right about birth! The changes going on are amazing though. Y is getting smarter by the second and his comprehension of commands is amazing as far as when we ask him to do something. M is very interested in reading and repeating the words that we say to her, although actual talking is still a bit off. Although she did talk to her grammy tonight on the phone in her own way. Twins are amazing because their personalities come out so much more because the differences and similarities are there side by side so each thing stands out more.
For their big day we had a friend over who shares the same day and she brought balloons and cardboard boxes. Both were a huge hit and show that simplicity is always a winner. Then that night we opened gifts. Yes, there are photos! Although I can't talk quality as we took them at night when they were in their jammies and it was a bit darker. On Thurs. they have their birthday on the Hebrew calendar which will be celebrated with cupcakes and more photos.
Another year down and may we have many more to go! Happy Birthday Y&M!
