Last week I had a hard week, my back started acting up, S. threw up in my bed at 1:30am and we had two tantrums on the way home from gan. It was just enough already. I was ready to throw in the towel and high tail it to the U.S. for a long needed vacation to see the family. So what do the tough do when the going gets tough here? We run for Ben and Jerry's! Yes, we had Ben and Jerry's last week! Hurray! This is the first time we have ever purchased Ben and Jerry's here because usually it is about $7.00 for a pint or 30 shekel! Yikes! But we decided to splurge and guess what?! It was on sale two for 40 shekel or about $9.50. It tasted so good. Israeli icecream is drained of its fat to make margerine so it is the whipped soft icecream, it is very different than american icecream and we really miss it. I also got to read to books. A Faye Kellerman Novel and a little simple romance. Those are the first books I have read and finished since October. I am still trying to read Wicked, but unfortunately I just don't have time for a detailed book right now.
I would still like to take a long vacation in the U.S., but between Ben and Jerry's and a few good books I might be able to tough it out a little longer.
More later when the kids poopy diapers are changed and M. is not crying.

As you know, Hashem has many ways of manifesting Hashem-self in the world. Ben and Jerry's ice cream is just one of these ways, but one of the tastiest to be sure.
Have you ever tried Chocolate Therapy? It's as good as it sounds.
Hello Alina!
I'm just popping in to say hello. I read your blog pretty regularly, so I though I'd leave a note.
Also, I know you're doing it already, but hang in there, it gets better. I'll agree with the chocolate therapy also.
