We frequently get asked about what we are doing here and what D does and when does the program end etc. Since Kollel is a pretty foreign idea to the average person we have always just said, well there is no set time and D could go in many directions and left it at that. Well today, thanks to Wikipedia, I have a real answer. I am cutting and pasting in the Wikipedia definition in, but there is definitely more information there than I am giving. So without further ado here is the Wikipedia definition of Kollel: A kollel (Hebrew: כולל; "a gathering/collection [of scholars]") is an institute for advanced studies of the Talmud and of rabbinic literature for Jewish adults, essentially a yeshiva which pays married men a regular monthly stipend or annual salary (and/or provides housing and meals) to study Judaism's classic texts in depth. The plural in Hebrew is kollelim. I feel that this is a pretty accurate description and will give everyone a better sense of what D is doing here.
As for what I am doing here, well, I think from the blog that is pretty obvious, I am keeping a trim figure by running after 3 very busy rugrats all day! And by the way our Princess Puff Puff is in the process of learning how to walk and is taking a few more steps every day! This means I will now be running in 3 directions on our zoo outings soon instead of 2!
